Gonzalo de la Carrera is denounced before the Ethics Commission of the Chamber of Deputies: they accuse him of insulting and beating a PS parliamentarian

The deputy of the Socialist Party, Ana María Bravo, denounced the parliamentarian Gonzalo de la Carrera before the Ethics Commission of the Chamber after accusing verbal insults and physical aggression after the vote on a bill.

As described by Bravo, the former Republican Party member displayed “explosive” behavior after discussing the Chao Dicom Law. This is why he emphasized that “it is not tolerable for someone to attack other parliamentarians because he loses a vote, even hitting another.”

“This type of attitude affects the performance of institutions and he cannot deny these facts because we were all present,” he added.

The deputy reported that de la Carrera “would have ordered several deputies and the president of the instance, Daniel Manouchehri, to disqualify himself from the vote, since he would have Dicom.”

However, despite the lie, Manouchehri “exhibited reliable and official documentation from the commission for the Financial Market, the Commercial Bulletin and Equifax, revealing the mendacity of the deputy’s statements.”

Due to the fact that his statements were promptly dismissed, the situation “provoked the confusion of the Carrera deputy, who, by not having the use of the floor, after making the clarification, offended the president of the commission”, was part of what was explained by Ana María Bravo.

As indicated Radio BioBiothe former republican told him that he “believed himself to be Pinochet” and “a dictator.”

“Not content with his intemperate expressions, de la Carrera hit deputy Manouchehri with a blow to the left ear, deputies Barrera and Bernales intervening so that this situation would not escalate,” he added.

Given the serious situation, the Socialist Party deputy emphasized that they will seek the maximum sanctions against the parliamentarian.

It should be noted that this is not the first problem that the Race in Congress faces. Since in March of this year, according to information from La Tercera, the parliamentarian approached Maite Orsini to ask her where the building’s offices were, to which Orsini replied: “Why do you think you can publicly call me an escort and then ask me favors. Get out of here and never speak to me again.”

What is added to the problems that the Race had with the deputy of the National Renewal, Erika Olivera, who faced him after the former Republican indicated through Twitter that “Erika Olivera and Nona Ossandón are applauded by the benches of extreme left. That’s how they vote.”
