The Policeman arrested a man identified as the person responsible for the murder of a 29-year-old person that occurred in the Colonia Nicolich area last Tuesday, February 27.
Police personnel became aware of the situation following a complaint about a homicide. The incident occurred in a house located on Morquio Street, almost 17 meters away.
The staff of the 28th Sectional Colonia Nicolich attended the site together with personnel from the Homicide Department. Once at the site, the agents identified the body as that of a 29-year-old man with a criminal record for robbery.
According to what the Canelones Headquarters reported, the man’s body was lying on a bed and had three bullet wounds and multiple stab wounds. The bullets occurred in one leg, in the chest and in the rib area.
At that time, prosecutor Cristina Falcomer was appointed to coordinate, together with the Homicide Department of the Canelones Police Headquarters, the investigation of the case. Finally, after arresting the main suspect, he was transferred to the Justice.
After completing the judicial instance, the case against Andrés Juvenal Beltrán de Armas, who has a criminal record, was formalized. Specifically, they attributed to him the commission of a crime of especially aggravated homicide. In addition, the Justice ordered a precautionary measure of preventive detention for a period of 180 days.
