Juan Darío Monges, president of the Treasury Commission, announced that they will summon prison guards for Wednesday, June 8. The objective is to analyze the bill that expands the list of beneficiaries of the family subsidy for workers in the sector.
Monges announced the formation of a work table where they will invite penitentiary unions. The purpose of the meeting will be to collect data on the number of personnel hired, appointed, what functions they perform and their schedules. This meeting will be virtual.
“The current project does not incorporate the contractors who perform the same functions, to be fair we must review that,” he said.
The bill only expires on August 5.
CONTEXT
This is the bill “That modifies the budget classifier of Law No. 6873/2022 “That approves the General Budget of the Nation for Fiscal Year 2022”, on family subsidy for prison guards. It was approved, with modifications, during its debate in the extraordinary session of the Chamber of Deputies on April 27.
This proposal seeks to correct in Object of Expenditure 131 “Family Subsidy”, that this benefit (G. 1.7 million bimonthly), also reaches officials, who were excluded for allegedly not meeting the requirement of the day 24 hour work.
