Cuba reports 31 new cases of COVID-19

A total of 31 new cases of COVID-19 and no deaths were confirmed on Saturday after the study of 5,972 samples to detect the coronavirus.

With this new report, there are 17 consecutive days without deaths from the disease, according to the usual part of the Ministry of Public Health (Minsap).

13,857,121 tests have already been carried out in Cuba for the detection of the coronavirus, of which 1,105,258 have been positive.

Of the new confirmed cases, two were patients who were infected abroad, 263 were infections of confirmed cases and the source of infection of three is being studied.

Havana reported six cases of COVID-19, followed by Artemisa and Ciego de Ávila, with five cases each.
Since the confirmation of its first cases, the disease has caused 8,529 deaths according to the MINSAP and 196 patients remain hospitalized. Of these, 192 have a stable clinical course.

Of the total cases, four patients are being treated in the therapy rooms under serious medical conditions.
