Santo Domingo.- The countries of Cuba, Venezuela and Nicaragua have a legitimate and democratic right to participate in the Summit of the Americas that will take place in early June in Los Angeles, United States.

The information was expressed by the coordinator of the Boschist Force of the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD), Luis de León.

The educator explained that these countries have the same constitutional rights and powers as the others in the region and should not be excluded from participating in the summit where issues of interest for the development of the continent will be discussed.

Professor De León, also a PLD presidential candidate, spoke in the framework of the commemoration of the 127th anniversary of the death of José Martí in the fight for the independence of Cuba together with Máximo Gómez.

Also because “the Latin American and Caribbean peoples that constitute America are part of José Martí, Simón Bolívar, Eugenio María de Hostos, José de San Martín, Benito Juárez, Juan Pablo Duarte and Juan Bosch.

The presidential candidate also sent a message of balance in the world and above all of peace to the global economic powers that promote war for the sale of weapons and consequently lead us to a Third World War.

He explained that the panel with the name of José Martí, the Balance of the World, which is his fundamental theory, and the War, was chaired, in addition to the coordinator of the José Martí curricular chair, Luis de León, by the vice-rector of the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo, Antonio Medina, the dean of the Faculty of Humanities, Augusto Bravo, the director of the Department of Letters, Gerardo Roa, the vice-dean Altagracia Suero.
