Specifically, on May 20, the president of RN, Francisco Chahuanannounced the judicial action against Llaitul “and all those who are responsible for the crime of illicit association, prescribed and sanctioned in Article 292 of the Penal Code.”

The call from the CAM leader came after the government of President Gabriel Boric, has announced the creation of an Intermediate State in the area, this gave powers to the Armed Forces to control the routes and highways of the sector. Finally, the idea of the Executive did not obtain enough support, so a State of Exception was decreed for 15 days in the region of La Araucanía and the provinces of Biobío and Arauco, Biobío region.
Faced with these statements, the President made the decision not to sue, since he pointed out that “our government does not pursue ideas or statements.”
“And there we may have differences, those differences can be debated, but let them know that those who commit crimes are going to be prosecuted with the full weight of the law, but we are not going to pursue ideas,” he added.
For its part, the Public Ministry declared that they cannot initiate an investigation ex officio if the Executive did not have the mandate to initiate legal action.
Given this scenario, the RN helmsman stated that “I want to tell you that RN, which is the only party that has sued in the cases, four cases in which we have filed our complaints, we are going to file the complaint against Mr. Llaitul by the State Security Law, in its fourth articles, letter F and sixth article”.
“We are going to do the trick that you do not do, President Boric,” added the senator, Francisco Chahuán, at the time.
