With the aim of consolidating the offer of tourist excursions, theme parks, adventure tourism and ecotourism, the operators and owners of companies dedicated to this complementary activity, constituted the Dominican Association of Parks and Tourist Excursions (Adopetur).
The entity brings together theme parks, marine animal parks and a wide range of excursions that enrich the complementary tourist offer.
The founding companies of Adopetur are Runners Adventures Park, Dolfin Island Park, Bávaro Adventures Park, Ocean World, Nature River Park, Scape Park, Dolfin Discovery, Marinarium Parks and Reptours Dominicana.

The representatives appointed Carlos Medrano Chairman of the board of the nascent organization.
“The main objective of Adopetur is to unite all the companies in the sector in the main destinations of the Dominican Republic, to work for the organized development of companies and offer the highest standards of safety and quality to tourists who visit the country,” Medrano declared when presenting the entity’s credentials.

He assured that they will work to position the tourism sector excursions, adventure and ecotourismas a consolidated and recognized segment within the country’s offer, incorporating specialized operators to achieve the formalization, professionalization and certification of services.
“We believe that for the country to continue growing in international arrivals, it is necessary to develop new projects,” he said.
He highlighted the work of managers to represent the interests of the sector, “and the commitment to promote development with a sustainable vision.
