Cuban delegation announced to the I Guadeloupe 2020 Caribbean Games

According to a note from the Cuban News Agency (ACN)the junior world medalists Juan Carley Vázquez, shot put, and the sprinter Shainer Reginfo are included in the Cuban delegation in athletics at the I Guadeloupe 2022 Caribbean Games, to be held at the end of June.

Vázquez, world champion in the category under 20 years in Nairobi, Kenya, last year, and Reginfo, winner of the bronze medal in the 100-meter dash of that event, stand out in the team announced by the national commission of that sport .

The Cuban delegation is also made up of the long jumpers Yanisley Carrión and Leidys Pérez, the triple jumper Andy Hechavarría, the javelin jumper Mariannailys Silva and the 18-year-old Daily Cooper, young exponents who can be important in this Olympic cycle and in the future.

Similarly, on the list are Maher Salah Mahroos and Hansel Abreu, in the 1,500 meters, and Greisys Roble and Keily Linet Pérez, who last Sunday made it 1-2 in the 100-meter hurdles event of the Ibero-American Championship of athletics in Alicante, Spain.

In that competition, Robles triumphed with a time of 12.93 seconds (sec), followed by his Pérez (13.01 sec), both with the highlights of his sports career.

Finally, the long jumpers Maikel Vidal and Daniel Mustelier, and the sprinter Jenns Fernández will be at the Guadalupe event.

The first edition of the Caribbean Games will take place in Guadeloupe from June 29 to July 3, 2022. More than 800 U-23 athletes from 29 countries will compete in seven sports.
