'Fico' presented the 'Revolution of the Countryside' to the peasants of Córdoba

During this Saturday afternoon, the presidential candidate of the Team for Colombia coalition, Federico Gutiérrez, arrived in the department of Córdoba, where he met with the peasant community of the villages of El Loro and Cereté, to whom he presented the proposal on the ‘Revolution of the Countryside’.

The candidate’s proposal seeks to work for a Colombia without hunger and a profitable farm, and among its most important aspects he pointed out that there is the decision to reduce to zero interest on credits for peasantsalso indicating that in Colombia there are 20 million poor people who are not guaranteed even three meals a day.

This program for the field It also contemplates the cancellation of the credit balances that the peasants have with the Agrarian Bank. and that they have not been able to pay for problems such as the loss of crops, he affirmed that his decision is that there be no more hunger in Colombia and that can only be achieved if food production in the countryside is increased, but that so that the peasants can produce, the candidate has a whole strategy that he will implement if he assumes the Presidency on August 7.

He explained that, in addition to reducing interest on loans to zero and forgiving current balances, each year, It plans to invest 9 billion pesos of public resources in more rural roads, irrigation districts and national production of inputs and fertilizers.an urgent commitment, taking into account that Colombia currently depends on imported products that have become more expensive due to their scarcity and the war between Russia and Ukraine.
