Panama reports 214 new positive cases, 0 deaths and 23 patients in ICU

The number of infections by Covid -19 for this Tuesday, November 23, counts 214 new positive cases.

Fortunately, there were no deaths, while there is a cumulative 7,356 deaths with a fatality of 1.5%.

In the last 24 hours, 7,136 tests were applied for a positivity of 2.9%.

Active cases total 2,468, of which 2,354 are in home isolation 75 in hotels, 91 patients hospitalized and 23 in ICU

As of this Wednesday, November 24, Operation PanavaC-19 will proceed with the application of these booster doses to people over 18 years of age in all vaccination posts, said the minister, who was accompanied during the announcement by the director of the Social Security Fund, Enrique Lau Cortes, the Minister Counselor for Public Health Affairs, Eyra Ruiz and Dr. Eduardo Ortega, member of the committee of experts on vaccines.

The Ministry of Health reminds the population not to go down and continue applying biosecurity measures such as the use of a mask, alcohol gel, a face shield in public passenger transport, hand washing, physical distancing and the use of alcohol.
