The Chamber approved this Tuesday (23) the bill that creates the Regional Attorney of the Republic of the 6th Region, headquartered in Belo Horizonte and operating in the state of Minas Gerais. The text goes on for analysis by the Senate.
Under the project, 18 regional prosecutor positions will be created from the transformation of 19 public prosecutor positions from the staff of the Federal Public Ministry (MPF) as part of the structure of the new body. The new structure is derived from the creation, by Law 14226/21, of the Regional Federal Court of the 6th Region, which has jurisdiction in Minas Gerais.
The new offices will be implemented in 180 days from the future law through the redistribution of existing offices in the MPF structure. According to the author of the approved substitute, deputy Rogério Correia (PT-MG), there are no new expenses with the creation of the Regional Attorney. With the creation of the court, we need those who will contribute to the functioning of the TRF-6″, he said.
It will be up to the Attorney General to define which offices will be redistributed with the respective amounts of commissioned positions and functions of trust. After the installation of the Regional Attorney for the 6th Region, the processes of Minas Gerais will be transferred to it regardless of order and preferably in digital format.
