The lawyer, defender and activist for women’s human rights, Joyce Araujo Lasso, gave this Wednesday, on Radio Panama, an analysis of the disappearance of women in the country, expressing that behind these types of acts there is an issue of relationships unequal power.
“Women generally do not leave their homes voluntarily, there may be something that triggers that exit and if it is not voluntary, and it is forced, the reasons are much more complex. They can be criminal forms or criminality for which women are kidnapped. or sexual purpose, which can even remain in a femicide,” he explained.
