Truckers unions analyze new route closures for this week. This after the failure to disclose the evidence for which five leaders were charged in mid-April.
The imputed truckers and those who keep preventive detention are; Ángel Zaracho, Roberto Almirón, Vicente Medina, Juan Friedelin and Julio César Solaeche. They were charged with alleged extortion of the State, this, after requesting, according to Federico González, Minister of the Interior, the sum of US$ 1 million so as not to carry out more road closures during the remainder of Abdo Benítez’s mandate (until August of 2023).
González himself informed 730 AM that they will ultimately resort to the use of violence in order to guarantee free movement.
“There are people who are detained and charged for violating this law. It is the Public Ministry that must act. If it is necessary to use public force, we will do it, ”he pointed out.
