Violence prevails in the demonstrations in the province of Colón, a police officer is seriously injured

A 21-year-old agent, a member of the National Police, was seriously injured after the clashes in the province of Colón, after several civil groups decreed a general strike in this area of ​​the country.

The events were specifically recorded in the sector of La Feria, Los Lagos, in Colón.

According to the National Police, the agent’s condition is delicate and unofficially it was learned that despite the fact that he was wearing a bulletproof vest, the projectile hit near the chest.

The authorities revealed that the young man was transferred in a helicopter from the National Aeronaval Service (Senan) to the Manuel Amador Guerrero Hospital.

They detailed that the victim is part of the Units of the Urban Rapid Intervention Force (ALFA) and resides in the province of Chiriquí, district of David.
