The Ethics Commission of the Congress of the Republic approved by majority the reports that recommend launching investigations against parliamentarians Enrique Wong Pujada (not grouped) and Cesar Revilla (People’s Force).
In the case of the second vice-president of the Parliament, Wong Pujada, the investigations against him take place for the alleged intervention that he would have had for the appointment of his adviser Manuel Talavera Valdivia as president of the board of directors of the National Ports Company (Enapu).
In the case of Revilla Villanuevathe measure was taken after the legislator William Bermejo (Democratic Peru) denounced that his colleague had publicly insulted him.
The parliamentary working group also unanimously approved the report that recommended declaring the accusation against the congresswoman inadmissible. Rosio Torres Salinas (Alliance for Progress) for allegedly having a worker who would also be working on her husband’s political campaign.
Likewise, the commission declared inadmissible the complaint filed against the parliamentarian Norma Yarrow (Avanza País), who was also denounced by Bermejo Rojas. In this case, it was as a result of false news that the legislator spread in the plenary session of Congress.
Finally, the Ethics Commission continued with the hearing of the complaint that follows the congressman Jaime Quito Sarmiento (Perú Libre) in reference to the case of her ex-partner, who allegedly received pressure not to testify about the attacks of which she was a victim years ago.
