Three public servants, who violated the Code of Ethics, were sanctioned by the National Authority for Transparency and Access to Information (ANTAI), with fines ranging from 10 to 50% of their salary.

This is a PANDEPORTES official who was sanctioned with 50% of the monthly salary for not complying with the procedure corresponding to an application, after a complaint filed by the National College of Baseball Umpires of Panama.

A public servant from the National Land Administration Authority (ANATI) was also fined 50% of her salary for violating the principle of legality of the Code of Ethics.

The other case corresponds to a custodian of the Tinajitas Detention Center, who introduced a sum of money to a relative in another penitentiary center. The sanction to this official was for 10% of the monthly salary.

It should be noted that Law 6 of January 22, 2002: “Issues regulations for Transparency in public management”, and Law 33 of April 25, 2013, empower the ANTAI to apply fines to public servants up to a amount not to exceed 50% of your monthly salary.
