From the Government of Gabriel Boric they have expressed a clear position in favor of Approval. The President himself announced that he will vote in favor of the new Constitution in the exit plebiscite, just as other ministers have done. The head of the Treasury, Mario Marcel, was not so categorical regarding his position, however he believes that the writing of the new Magna Carta is on the right track.
Regarding his position on the exit plebiscite of the new Constitution, Marcel indicated in an interview on TVN that “I am very interested in seeing the final text of that Constitution.”
He also added that “I know that as an authority we have a series of limitations. What I have seen so far in terms of the economy, I do not see risks, I see important reforms for this country such as decentralization, gender equity, respect for indigenous peoples, etc. There are many interesting things that are going to form the opinion of each one and mine so far is quite favorable”.
