The Cinema Leva Eu project aims to train and include residents of Baixada Fluminense in the production of content for national cinema. The selected stories participated in pitching classes, which in audiovisual is a modality of presenting a project or script to an audience.

According to the project organization, initially the idea would be to choose three proposals, but given the quality of the content presented, this number was increased to five.

Among the selected projects is 9 hours in Deodoro, by 27-year-old Dj Dorgo, which addresses the artistic movements in transport in Rio de Janeiro and the impact of its prohibition through the trajectory of the collectives Enraizados no Vagão and Nós da Rua.

Nobody Via, by Gabriel Leal, 26, was also selected, which tells the story of Julia who discovers a degenerative disease and who, after leaving bewildered after the news, returns to her homeland, Nova Iguaçu, and meets Adonis. Their meeting changes Julia’s life completely, when she discovers that what no one saw, only she could see.

Another project selected was Odisseia Fluminense, by Matheus de Carvalho, 27, which tells the story of a single and proletarian mother, resident of Nova Iguaçu, who works in downtown Rio and, bringing to light the routine of several people, takes the crowded train at 5 am to return home after 10 pm. One day the boss asks the worker to work overtime and, as he cannot deny it, he misses the last train on the Japeri branch. The short promises to show the reality of many residents of Baixada who work in Rio de Janeiro and, to get there, they have to face a precarious and crowded means of transport, in addition to a long journey.

Maria Carolina Gomes, 20 years old, resident of Xerém, will rescue, in FNM: A Vila de Operários, a historical past of several families that have a relationship with FNM – Fábrica Nacional de Motores, inaugurated in Xerém in 1942. The factory which, during the Second World War, was responsible for producing aeronautical engines, became, through a partnership with the Italian brand Isotta Fraschini, the first truck manufacturer in Brazil.

Marcelo dos Santos, 40 years old, will narrate the life of César, a typical philosophy professor who, while sleeping, dreams of a completely different image of a philosophy professor, who was hired to teach questions of ethics for your students. In the dream, the teacher clashes with the school’s owners who fire him for making his students go beyond the basics and actually apply the subjects covered. However, upon waking up, Caesar returns to his quiet life until he sees a headline of a teacher who was fired for teaching students to dare.

The Cinema Leva Eu project has important names in audio visual, cinema and the artistic world such as Sergio Assis, Hsu Chien and André da Costa Pinto and Louiz Carlos da Silva, son of Zeca Pagodinho and general director of the Institute that bears the name of Father. Market professionals are responsible for teaching students acting, script, direction, script, production and executive production, photography, direct sound capture, sound editing and sound post-production, research, copyright, among others.
