They detect 20 cases of theft of electrical energy in the entire department of Huancavelica

Despite the fact that it constitutes a crime, there are 20 detected cases of electricity theft in the Huancavelica region, which are valued at 17 thousand soles.

From Electrocentro they report that they identified entire families that illegally benefited from the electricity service using clandestine networks in several regions, including, although to a lesser extent, in the department of Huancavelica.

The theft of energy and the manipulation of a meter not only mean an electrical risk, they are also typified as crimes, whose penalties range from one to three years in prison, reported Elías Mendoza Zea, head of the Electrocentro Loss Control Unit, after emphasizing that the recovery of energy for 460 thousand soles applied to offending customers was made effective.
