Captain Taryn Martínez, an officer of the Judicial Investigation Directorate of the National Police, spoke this Tuesday on Radio Panama about the new modus operandi of criminals when it comes to stealing vehicles or taking belongings that are inside.
He emphasized that the owners of what belongs to others are making use of the latest technology to commit this type of crime, for which he recommended that the population not leave valuables or objects that are pleasing to the eye.
He indicated that criminals are disabling car alarms, supported by advanced technology, such as the use of devices capable of detecting the charge of electronic objects such as laptops, cell phones, among others.
