Record

Cesar Emilio Peraltabetter known as Caesar”the abuser” is designated by the United States Department of State as the head of an international drug trafficking and money laundering network that received millions of dollars from this crime.

His network allegedly tried to launder drug money through front companies that include luxury nightclubs, properties, and vehicles in the Dominican Republic.

He allegedly used drug money to bribe National Police officers to avoid arrest, prosecution, and search of his properties.

In August 2019, the Dominican authorities dismantled his alleged money laundering and drug trafficking network during an extensive operation. However, the alleged narco managed to escape. He was arrested on December 2, 2019 in the city of Cartagena, in Colombia.

He was detained in Colombia until he was extradited to Puerto Rico in December 2021, to answer for various charges brought against him by the US government.

The influence of Caesar’s network

The federal authorities of Puerto Rico classify César Emilio Peralta as one of the highest caliber drug traffickers in the Caribbean. In 2017 they registered it as a Consolidated Priority Organizational Target, the only “narco” that carries that classification in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean. They came to compare César el Abusador with the drug trafficker Joaquín Guzmán Loera (El Chapo). When his extradition to Puerto Rico took place, the authorities estimated that “throughout his illicit activities, César Emilo Peralta trafficked, every year, approximately 25,000 kilos of cocaine, in addition to other substances, and they took him to other activities such as money laundering” and the trafficking of Colombian women.
