Negotiation processes with Associated States, efforts made in each of the countries for the ratification of the free trade agreement with Singapore and the steps to follow for the process of negotiations with South Korea and accession with Ecuador were the topics that were discussed. at the meeting, reported the Ministry of Economy in a statement.
Cooperation issues were also discussed and there were meetings with the business council of the Pacific Alliance and the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), whose participation seeks to strengthen the integration process of the alliance.
The meeting was attended by the vice ministers of commerce of Chile, José Miguel Ahumada; foreign trade in charge of Colombia, Luis Fernando Fuentes; multilateral affairs of Colombia, María Carmelina Londoño; of Foreign Trade of Peru, Ana Cecilia Gervasi, and Foreign Relations of Peru, Luis Enrique Chávez, and the Undersecretary of Foreign Trade of Mexico, Luz María de la Mora.
The officials reaffirmed their commitment to continue working for a more citizen-oriented, more inclusive Pacific Alliance that continues to strengthen its integration mechanism.
