Madrid Spain.- The National Migration Institute (INM) of the Mexican Ministry of the Interior rescued 17 Cuban migrants who were being transported in a trailer along the Saltillo-Torreón federal highway, in the state of Coahuila, in the north of the Aztec country.
As reported by the entity this Sunday through Twitterthe islanders traveled irregularly together with 31 Hondurans, 26 Salvadorans, 12 Nicaraguans, 3 Guatemalans, 1 Ecuadorian, 1 Venezuelan and 1 Peruvian, for a total of 92 people. There were 19 minors in the group: 12 boys and 7 girls.

All the migrants underwent a routine review at the Saltillo Criminal Justice Center. The identification was carried out by INM personnel, in collaboration with elements of the Secretary of Public Security of the State of Coahuila and the municipality of Saltillo, specified a release issued by the INM.
Adults will begin the immigration process to define their legal status in Mexico, while minors are under the guardianship of the System for the Integral Development of the Family (DIF).
The driver and the vehicle were left at the disposal of the state police who consigned them to the Public Ministry of the Federation, the information specifies.
The INM note recalls the entity’s commitment to “a safe, orderly and regular migration, in accordance with Human Rights and without undermining their political, economic or social status.”
During the month of March, more than 32,000 Cubans arrived at the southern border of the United States. While so far this year the Government of Mexico has already carried out 14 air operations deportation to the island.
