The 18-month-old creature was murdered in 2020 by his own father.

A judge from the municipality of Rionegro, Antioquia, sentenced Diego Armando Cadavid to 33 years and four months in prison, a man who in December 2020 took the life of his little daughter Sofía Cadavid, barely a year and a half old.
For these facts, the father of the minor was sentenced to intramural measure after it was shown that he drugged her, suffocated her and beat her to death.

The Prosecutor’s Office charged him with the crime of aggravated homicide, however, he could be tried for aggravated femicide and this could give him more years in prison.
Precisely, the defense of the victims appealed the judge’s decision and will now seek in the courts of Antioquia a second instance that could give the accused between 400 and 500 months in prison, a sentence that could translate into 41 years behind bars.
This process could take place in the next four or five months.
The facts
On December 17, 2020, Diego Cadavid went in search of his daughter to the house of his former sentimental partner and mother of the girl, to take a walk through Rionegro.
He agreed on an hour to return home with the little girl (5:00 in the afternoon), but this never happened.
Luisa Henao, mother of the minor, became distressed and notified the authorities who insistently searched all over the Antioquia municipality for the girl Sofía, the search being unsuccessful.
Until that moment, what would be the last photograph of the minor alive was known. It was recorded on a miscellaneous security camera: Diego Cadavid carrying his daughter.
Hours later, Cadavid appeared but without the girl, claiming to feel disoriented.
He then led investigators to the site where he apparently took his daughter’s life.
At around 5 in the morning, the Rionegro authorities found the lifeless body of the minor and Cadavid was arrested and transferred to the URI of the Public Prosecutor’s Office.
