Despite the difficulties experienced by the Peruvian economy during the health crisisin 2021 the sector agribusiness maintained a good performance with a growth of 3%, according to an article by the ESAN university. This result was thanks to exports of vegetables and fruits such as avocado, grapes, blueberries and asparagus, among other products. agriculturalin addition to the growing global trend to consume healthier.
In this context, Qallariy Accelerator was born, an acceleration and incubation program for agri-food businesses, to boost the growth of its entire value chain, from the crop to the final product, and strengthen its presence in national and international markets. The Fundación Ayuda en Acción Perú promotes this work with the support of its allies Truvalu and El Lab Innovación.
“It is about identifying the strategic objectives of the company to strengthen its opportunities and make them tangible in an action plan. A structural job can triple the value of the company in a short time. We believe in the positive impact that can be generated if good relationships are fostered between the company, the suppliers and their rural clients. We will facilitate the exercise of creating businesses in the agribusiness sector, we will provide financing alternatives”. explained William Campbell, country director of Fundación en Acción in Peru.
Cocoa, coffee, organic bananas, fruits, avocados, aquaculture products, citrus fruits, beekeeping products and vegetables are the focus of the incubator for those who bet on the best markets deployed in Piura, Cajamarca, La Libertad, Lima, Cusco and Apurímac . It is a program that intervenes in all aspects of the organization and provides specialized support in the strategic, operational, commercial and financial areas of organizations.
To be part of the program, a series of requirements must be met, among the main ones are, being legally constituted in Peru, with at least one year of operation as MiPymes and having annual sales of up to 266,000 dollars (for micro companies) and up to 1,500 ,000 dollars (for small businesses) and be supplied by small producers or supply customers in Peru in the prioritized chains, among others.
