This Sunday, April 24, tracks will be closed in Loma Cová for work on line 3 of the Metro

If you are going to travel to the interior of the country this Sunday, April 24, between 7:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m., it is recommended that you take alternate routes since the Panama Metro will be closing in both directions. Inter-American Highway, due to the necessary road adaptations for the start of construction of the viaduct in Loma Cova, this as part of the works for Line 3 of the Metro.

According to a press release from Metro Panama, and following the parameters of the Traffic Management Plan, approved by the Traffic and Land Transportation Authority (ATTT), the closures will be momentary, for 15 minutes.

The affected area will cover from Plaza Loma Center, adjacent to the community of Loma Cová, along about 190 meters. These closures are due to the removal of vegetation in areas required for construction.

“As part of its environmental commitment, Metro de Panamá, SA develops the Environmental Management Management Plan, where one of its main projects is the Reforestation Plan for Ecological Compensation, which establishes the reforestation of more than 6 hectares” specified Metro de Panamá, SA in said press release.
