Penarol and National renewed, once again, their link with the Spanish Association, through which the mutual society provides health care for the players of both clubs, in a strategic alliance that already has a long history of union and partnership.
The signing of the agreement was attended by the president and secretary of both institutions. For his part, the President of Peñarol, Ignacio Ruglio, had words of praise for the Spanish Association: “Clearly we are talking about the largest health care institution in Uruguay. And for Peñarol this agreement is really an honor and that we can continue to maintain it over time », he remarked.
“Many times these agreements are simply signed papers, but in this case we are united by bonds of friendship. La Española is an institution that has always behaved very well with our footballers, with our officials, “said Ruglio.
Meanwhile, the President of Nacional, José Fuentes, emphasized the importance of ratifying this agreement. “La Española and Nacional are two great institutions in this country. And the greats get together with the greats, which is why we are very happy to celebrate this signing,” said Fuentes. “We are very grateful for all the service that La Española has always provided us. We know the quality and efficiency. The satisfaction of our players who have been treated here speaks for itself », he asserted.
LEGITIMACY
The General Manager of the Spanish Association, Dr. Julio Martínez, highlighted the value that this union represents with the two great teams of Uruguayan soccer.
Institutionally, having the two great Uruguayan soccer clubs is very important. We point to sport as a health promoter. We have an amateur sports movement in Hispaniola, with cycling groups, runners, Tai Chi. But all that movement that we develop that promotes the practice of sport as health prevention is also legitimized by having Peñarol and Nacional as our partners, “said the Dr. Martinez.
The president of the Board of Directors of the Spanish Association, Fernando García, stressed that it was a “very happy day” for the Spanish. “We are ratifying an agreement with the two largest sports institutions in Uruguay, such as Peñarol and Nacional, which fills us with pride and responsibility,” he said.
“Beyond the sporting rivalry, we Uruguayans have learned not long ago that in bad times, when circumstances are not the best, we unite, regardless of colors or flags,” Garcia concluded. Both the General Manager and the President of the Board of Directors of La Española thanked both clubs for their trust and for continuing with the mutualista in a bond that “goes beyond advertising sponsorship, since it is one of mutual alliance and health support”. At the end of each signing, the classic shirt exchange took place.
