Amnesty International warns that the Venezuelan crisis has not been solved

The NGO Amnesty International sent a letter to the government Alberto Fernandez in which she declares her concern about her statements in which she expressed her desire to normalize relations with Venezuela because “many” of the problems in the country “have been dissipating”.

Mariela Belski, Executive Director of Amnesty International Argentinasaid that ensuring that the human rights problems in Venezuela “are diminishing It’s a serious diagnosis.” and reiterated that there must be support for a “democratic solution to the crisis in that country” is achieved.

International Amnesty highlights that for a year it has documented the problems in Venezuela and details that “crimes under international law and human rights violations, including arbitrary politically motivated arrests, torture, extrajudicial executions and excessive use of force They have been systematic and widespread.

“As a member and president of the UN Human Rights Council, Argentina should leave no doubt about its commitment to human rightsincluding the right to truth, justice, reparation and guarantees of non-repetition of victims”, concludes the NGO.
