Anaya Cortés criticized that the Morena bloc and its allies “did everything” to try to pass the reform initiative, such as, she accused, blocking the entrance of opposition deputies so that they could not vote.
And when that didn’t work for them, he added, they changed the date at the last minute to vote on “Holy Sunday.” But even so, his initiative did not pass “because the united opposition prevented it,” he stressed.
Likewise, he considered that this “achievement” of the opposition, of stopping a law of “dirty and expensive energy”, will serve to defeat Morena in the 2024 presidential elections.
“In 2024 we are going to remove them (…) And (we are going to have) better management of the economy, the support and services that people receive are not going to be removed: there will be more support and better services, especially in health and education. The good news is that there is another way and unity is the way forward,” Ricardo Anaya pointed out.
