Councilors are concerned about “repeated and systematic” violation of the electoral law

At the conclusion of the activity of the National Electoral Institute (INE) in the revocation of the mandate, among the demands for the successful organization of the exercise, the high level of litigation was made known, because 188 complaints were filed, mostly for violations of civil servants to legal restrictions. Counselor Dania Ravel censured the repeated and systematic violation of the law by the rulers and considered the failure to comply with the precautionary measures of these same public servants very worrying.

It is an unusual breach, we have never had a political scenario where the intention to transgress the law and the Constitution was so evident, neither in elections nor in popular consultation. It considered unacceptable that the Technical Contentious Unit dictated agreements of 28 precautionary measures, of which there was non-compliance of 18 of them in this context of defiance of non-compliance with the law, 15 of which were to public officials, including the President and the Head of Government, who were the ones who have been notified of the largest number of breaches.

Meanwhile, the session was the scene of an intense debate with strident tones about the final balance of this exercise. The morenista Mario Llergo celebrated the support for Andrés Manuel López Obrador, contrary to the voices of resentful academics, voracious businessmen and reactionary castes. He charged that the result should force them to depose his seditious attitude, destined to fail, a deaf and tortuous rebellion.

He deplored the disdain, he said, of the counselor Ciro Murayama, who in a tweet ironized about the final result: For every two signatures delivered to promote the process, there were three votesaccusing him of making fun of the people and described the message as street challenge. He criticized the conservative conspiracy and the hate that failed, announcing that We are going to purify the INE with councilors elected by the people. I answer: for every three votes today, there will be 300 in favor of the Fourth Transformation in 2024.

Immediately, Murayama turned around emphasizing the maths of the brunette: If that happened, 165 million would vote, nothing more than there are only 122 million Mexicans, so even the children will vote and even so, 40 million will be missing. Counselor Uuc-kib Espadas intervened in the confrontation: No, counselor, there would be 1.65 billion votes to leave the accounts of the brunette.

Meanwhile, PAN members Víctor Hugo Sondón and Humberto Aguilar attacked the haulage and the defiance of the law that, they said, prevailed on this day. They were of no use, assured Sondón, his coarse carries because eight out of 10 citizens were not interested in this exercise.

In his final balance, the president counselor, Lorenzo Córdova, affirmed that despite the attacks on the institute, the irregularities and systematic violation of the law, the efforts to derail the process, the INE demonstrated that it is a constitutionally autonomous institution that, despite more pressure and threats, is capable of being an impartial arbitrator.
