SAIME advances in technological adaptations for the printing of 25 thousand passports and extensions

SAIME avanza en adecuaciones tecnológicas para la impresión de 25 mil pasaportes y prórrogas

The general director of the Administrative Service of Identification, Migration and Immigration (SAIME) Gustavo Vizcaíno announced to the Venezuelan people that the identifying entity is working on technological adaptations for the printing of 25 thousand travel documents between passports and daily extensions.

The statements were made through an interview simultaneously through the Instagram account @RedSocialSaime.

During the broadcast, Vizcaíno emphasized that the weekly shipment of bags to the SAIME offices within the national territory is maintained and invited users to consult the institution’s social networks where the lists of documents ready for delivery are constantly published.

“The bags are sent weekly to the regional offices, such as Cojedes, Bolívar, Apure, Barinas, Yaracuy, Lara, Falcón, Táchira, Trujillo, Sucre, Miranda, Zulia, Aragua, Guárico, Mérida, Nueva Esparta, Anzoátegui, Delta Amacuro, Portuguesa, Carabobo and Monagas» he said.

He also reported that at the SAIME headquarters, through Citizen Services (ATC), emergency cases are channeled for health and labor reasons, among others.

He recalled that identification documents such as passports and extensions “must go through security protocols to be printed, packed and sent to their destinations, for this reason they take approximately 21 business days to print,” a press release from the SAIME.
