The Brazilian women’s soccer team won the first match of the year with a score of 3 to 1 over Hungary, in a friendly on Monday afternoon (11), in the city of San Pedro de Pinatar, in Spain. Gabi Nunes scored twice with a header and Bia Zaneratto honored the return to the team led by Pia Sundahage with a great goal, from outside the area. The midfielder Anna Csiki scored for the Hungarians in a penalty kick.

The Brazilian team started more offensive. In the 11th minute, Kerolin threatened the opponents’ goal with a shot from outside the area, which went through the back line. Three minutes later, after a corner, Gabi Nunes headed into the back of the net and put Brazil in front of the marker. After conceding the goal, the Hungarian team closed and the Brazilians had more difficulties to finish.
In the second half, with seven minutes of ball rolling, forward Bia Zaneratto shot through the middle, in an individual play, and extended it to Brazil with a well-aimed bomb from outside the area. Shirt 16 celebrated a lot, as it was called off several times in 2021, when it played for Wuhan (China) due to the covid-19 pandemic. And earlier this year she was also left out of the selection when she tested positive for the SARS-Cov2 virus.
And it didn’t take long to get the third Brazilian goal. At 15 minutes, Adriana crossed in measure for Gabi Nunes, Madrid CFF striker, to score her second in the match. Hungary discounted at 29, in a penalty kick by midfielder Anna Csiki. In the 40th minute, Brazil almost didn’t expand. In a fast counterattack, Bia Zaneratto launched the midfielder Adriana, who kicked cross and by a hair the ball did not go in.
