With the purpose of contributing to a more sustainable mobility, Asociación La Nacional joins the network of electric charging stations to electric vehicles Evergo, the largest and most sophisticated in the region, with the installation of a new charger in its facilities.
The initiative is based on the philosophy that is practiced from its corporate governance, to generate sustainable value among its clients, associates and collaborators. From this commitment, the company continues its commitment to social, economic and environmental development, through the promotion of electric mobility.
“We are happy to inaugurate what is our first charging station for electric vehicles, thanks to the alliance we have with Evergo, a company with which we share values in terms of preserving natural resources through electric mobility. This project that begins today in our main office will be extended to other branches in the future, to provide greater facilities to our clients, collaborators and related parties, who immediately have an exclusive space where they can easily load their vehicles, safe and agile, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year,” said Gustavo Zuluaga, executive vice president of La Nacional.
For his part, Roberto Herrera, Country Manager of InterEnergy Group, the company that operates Evergo, stated “We are very pleased to have new allies, such as La Nacional, who have supported and believed in the possibility of achieving an increasingly sustainable country. and inclusive. As dictated at COP26, electric mobility will play a strategic role in accelerating a world with zero emissions. Through Evergo and our allies, we contribute to making this a reality and for our Dominican Republic to position itself as one of the main benchmarks for decarbonization in all sectors.”
The start-up of these new Evergo stations, in partnership with Asociación La Nacional, promotes and accelerates the development of a safe and reliable charging infrastructure that promotes electric mobility and guarantees a cutting-edge solution to the needs of its customers.
La Nacional users already have a Level 3 charger, known as “super fast”, allowing full charge in approximately 30 minutes. As in all Evergo stations, the user has the possibility of operating the load under a self-service model and making transactions through the Evergo App, available on the App Store and Google Play.
Evergo connects electric mobility with more than 350 charging stations distributed in the 32 provinces of the national territory. With this facility, users of electric vehicles, which today exceed 3,000 units, can travel long distances without worry, since they have a charging station on the country’s main highways.
