The mayor of Quilmes, Mayra Mendoza, assumed this Friday the presidency of the local Justicialist Party, in an act in which she claimed to carry “high” the flags of “economic independence, political sovereignty and social justice” and highlighted the figures of Perón and Avoid.
With his assumption, Mendoza became the first woman in history to preside over the Peronism of Quilmes.
Lieutenant Governor Verónica Magario, and a large group of militants and provincial and community leaders participated in the act, which took place on the premises of the Plastic Union, on Avenida La Plata and Rodolfo López, in Quilmes Oeste.
“I come from a political generation that embraced Peronism with Néstor and Cristina, with the dignity of the policies that carried high our flags of economic independence, political sovereignty and social justice. To be a Peronist is to tell the IMF that it will charge as long as First, our economy and our people recover, which they, along with Macri, destroyed”Mendoza said.
For her part, Magario pointed out: “The pride of having a female comrade president of the PJ for the first time in Quilmes is the pride of all the women who fight, who are active, who are in the streets all day and who want to continue raising the flags.
During the meeting, diplomas were delivered to the new authorities.
