Euclides Acevedo, National Foreign Minister, received this Friday Santiago Cafiero, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Argentina. The reason for the meeting was to review the work agenda regarding physical interconnectivity projects (with new bridges) and other points.
At the end of the meeting, Acevedo indicated that there is a firm will to build new bridges between Paraguay and Argentina. One of the advanced projects is a new bridge between Puerto Falcón and Clorinda, which will be financed by our country.
There is also interest from the Development Bank of Latin America (CAF) to support the financing of a bridge between the city of Pilar and Colonia Cano (Formosa) in the south of the country. The interest of this bridge is strategic since this advance will allow commercial transit.
