In response to the statements made by Argentine journalist Viviana Canosa, the Bolivian vice-consul in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Mauricio Pinaya, announced that he will apologize from the host of the program “Viviana con vos” who called him a “delinquent” for trying to “usurp land” in the municipality of La Matanza.

“We are going to apologize for the case, we cannot harm anyone and they call us criminals, usurpers. It has to be demonstrated in all instances,” Pinaya told the No Lies program.

Canosa accused Pinaya on Monday of allegedly usurping land in La Matanza, and of promoting the blockade on the Riccheri highway, where for two days and one night a group of Bolivian residents closed road access, claiming a supposed right that they consider to have .

During the program, the presenter said: “The Bolivian vice-consul usurped land and apart from that he wants to be paid for the services, to connect the electricity, it’s a joke. Go back to Bolivia, Vice Consul”.

In this sense, Pinaya said that the claim was made formally before the Bolivian Embassy in Argentina, in which he condemns the “xenophobia and racism” of the journalist.

He also asserted that several nationals expressed concern about the recurrence of racist acts by some Argentine citizens against Bolivians, ANF reported.

He stressed that he did not participate in any blockade and that his conduct is within the framework of the Vienna Convention.

“I must make it very clear that I have not participated in any blockade, I have not encouraged any type of mobilization, but rather, my conduct comes within the framework of the Vienna Convention, (acts) when there is a problem of this nature or problem that some Bolivian is suffering a violation of their rights,” said Pinaya.
