Public officials will not demonstrate this Thursday

Porfiria Ocholasky, president of the Coordinator of Public Officials of Public Officials Guilds and Decentralized Entities, told Radio Monumental 1080 AM, that they will not hold a demonstration on Thursday morning as initially thought.

He stated that they will only hold an informative meeting. It will take place in front of the National Congress from 09 in the morning. The objective is to see the progress of the work table installed on March 15.

“We are going to say our conditions to continue at the table. We are 185 unions in this Coordinator. If we don’t sit down and work with the government, we have no chance. There is not only the wage readjustment, there are 4 points. If it cannot be granted this year, we will present it for the year 2023”, he expressed.

In addition to the 15% salary increase for a total of 250,000 officials, the request establishes as a second point the deprecariousness of contracted officials. Third, there is the staggered schedule to avoid chaotic traffic. The fourth point is the recovery of remuneration due to the fact that there are officials who have been working overtime since the start of the pandemic, but have not yet received these extra payments.
