MIAMI, United States. – The teenager of Cuban origin Hugo Carbajal Amaro, known for his participation in several protests against the regime of the Island in Mexico, was murdered this weekend at a clandestine party in the state of Mexico, they reported local media of the Aztec country.
The 15-year-old teenager died after receiving a brutal bottle blow to the head that would have cut his jugular vein. According to the newspaper Regenerationwhich cites family sources and witnesses to the events, the minor was attacked in a party room located in Zona Esmeralda, state of Mexico.
After receiving the blow, the people who witnessed the events called an ambulance to take him to the hospital as an emergency. However, the teenager died on the way to the “Salvador González Herrejón” Hospital, of the Health Institute of the State of Mexico.
Hugo and his mother, the Cuban maureen amaroappeared in the Cuban media after actively participating in a protest against Cuban dictator Miguel Díaz-Canel, during the president’s visit to Mexico in September 2021.
On that occasion, Hugo received two blows to the back at the hands of Castro’s mobs that mobilized in front of the regime’s embassy in Mexico City. They also ripped his shirt, scratched him and stole his belongings.
Cuban journalist Claudia Padrón Cueto, who met and interviewed the teenager, wrote on Facebook this Tuesday that Hugo was always “the most energetic, the most passionate” in the demonstrations against the island’s regime in Mexico.
“Hugo was not born in Cuba but he made our cause his own. And that boy was a torrent of energy. He was the one who shouted the loudest, jumped, while he encouraged others to follow him. I don’t think anyone who has coincided with him in a march has forgotten him,” the reporter also wrote.
For its part, the newspaper Millennium reported that relatives and friends of Hugo blocked the Periférico road on Tuesday, at the height of Naucalli Park, with posters and legends such as “Justice for Hugo” and “Brothers to death.”
Meanwhile, friends and close associates of the teenager created the hashtag #JusticiaParaHugo on social networks.
According to press reports, the State Attorney General’s Office opened an investigation with the aim of arresting the aggressor, identified in social networks like Mauricio Mora.
“They killed my son but you will not find a stone to hide in that does not find you, I am going to do justice to my son, Huguito, my son, fly high, I love you”, wrote the teenager’s mother on Facebook.
