Latam Airlines reported that it will grant flexibilities for flights to and from Lima for today, Tuesday, April 5, as a result of the compulsory social immobilization declared by President Pedro Castillo.
“We are granting flexibilities for flights to/from Lima, these correspond to changes and/or refunds without penalties for flights on that date”he pointed out in a statement.
The airline indicated, however, that its operation will continue as normal at the Jorge Chávez airport.
“In addition to the indications of the concessionaire, we recommend our passengers to carry their respective identity documents, boarding pass or travel reservations, which may be used as safe conduct before the respective authorities”he underlined.
“LATAM Airlines will maintain constant monitoring of the situation and will proactively report any eventuality. The company regrets the inconvenience this situation has caused its passengers.”he added.
Last night, President Pedro Castillo ordered the total mandatory immobilization for Lima and Callao from 02:00 am to 11:59 pm, as a result of the violent protests that are taking place throughout the country.
