Two deaths and 124 new cases of Covid-19 were registered in the last 24 hours in Panama for a total of 765,337 accumulated cases. There is an accumulated death toll of 8,172 for a lethality of 1.3%.
In the epidemiological report issued today by the Ministry of Health, they reported 755,057 recovered people, of which 254 joined this group today. In addition, 3,519 tests were applied for a positivity of 3.5%.
There are 2,108 active cases of Covid-19 in the country, of which 2,030 are in home isolation and 78 hospitalized. Those in isolation are divided into 2,010 at home and 20 in hotels. Those hospitalized are 74 in the Ward and four in the ICU.
Regarding vaccination, the Expanded Immunization Program (EPI) highlighted that 7,966,568 doses of vaccines against Covid-19 have been applied in the country to date, of which 3,453,106 have been placed in the first dose; 3,042,453 second and 1,459,482 backup.
The population between 5 and 11 years of age have received 370,208 doses, of which 262,175 in the first dose and 108,033 in the second dose.
