The Councilor for the Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM), Domingo Antonio Duran SanchezTony Duran)was arrested today by the Public ministry following an extensive investigation into an allegation of rape of a teenage girl.
Duran Sanchez was arrested by court order number 1486-2022-Tord-00072issued by the Judicial Office of Permanent Care Services of this demarcation.
The Public ministry He reported, through a press release, that in the next few hours he will proceed with the submission of the PRM councilor before said court and announced that they will request that he be placed in preventive detention as a coercive measure.

The prosecutor in charge of Santiago Rodriguez, Sumaya Rodriguez Matiasexplained that they will file charges against the defendant for the crimes of sexual and psychological abuse to the detriment of the victim.
It indicated that the case has been provisionally classified as a violation of articles 331 of the Penal Code and 396 of the Code for the Protection and Fundamental Rights of Children and Adolescents (Law 136-03).
In the course of the investigation, the Public ministry determined that the case occurred last year, when the teenager, who was 14 years old at the time, lived with her stepmother.
It details that the PRM councilor knew that the victim was a minor and that to commit the act he took advantage of his vulnerability, as well as his closeness and friendship with the family.
Last March 17 the Public ministry reported on the progress of the investigations and the steps taken after receiving the complaint in the case at the end of December of last year.
The persecuting body stressed that it will seek justice for the serious act and said that the request for a coercive measure is supported by sufficient evidence for the accused to be sent to prison.
