More than 20 opposition organizations disapproved of the foreign policy of the illegitimate government of Daniel Ortega and celebrated the resolution recently approved in the United Nations to investigate human rights violations In Nicaragua.
Opposition Nicaraguans stated that Ortega’s foreign policy “does not represent the feelings of the people” and expressed their “concern about the diplomatic tensions generated by the accusations and offenses of the Ortega-Murillo regime against countries that have traditionally been friends of Nicaragua.”
They detailed that they do not approve of the support that Ortega gives to his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, in his military invasion of Ukraine. On the other hand, for the signatories, the resolution approved by the UN Human Rights Council is a “great victory” that reflected the support of the international community in favor of respect for human rights in the country.
