The Government announced the sending of a delegation of ministers to the city of Huancayo to start the dialogue, in the midst of the indefinite strike of carriers, which is now in its fifth day and where looting has already occurred.
The Presidency of the Council of Ministers (PCM) informed that the ministers will travel to that city Robert Sanchez (Foreign Trade and Tourism), Oscar Zea (Agrarian Development and Irrigation) and Alexander Salas (Culture).
“We encourage dialogue and reject all acts of vandalism”published the PCM through its Twitter account, after the looting of supermarkets and attacks on the headquarters of the Regional Government of Junín and the local municipality.
This Friday there was a confrontation between demonstrators and agents of the National Police when a large group of protesters began to throw stones at the headquarters of the Regional Government of Junin.
Everything would have occurred when police officers tried to stop the attack on the public headquarters. According to RPP, injuries have already been reported, including a reporter from the Pan-American channel, who was hit by a stone at head height.
The demonstrators also caused damage to the auditorium of the Provincial Municipality of Huancayo. RPP mentioned that farmers, ranchers and public service carriers also participate in the protest.
The acts of violence occurred after noon this Friday throughout the city of Huancayowhere the main markets were closed after being attacked with stones and other objects.
The headquarters of the Provincial Municipality of Huancayo also ended with broken windows, while outside the facilities of the Regional Government of Junin there are a lot of people protesting.
Another point attacked was the Royal Square of Huancayo. There a mob broke the windows of different banks and there was even a looting in a supermarket. The incident was recorded by the villagers themselves.
