The parliamentarian of Peru Libre Maria Aguero Gutierrez questioned the salary he receives as a congressman of the Republic for the amount of S/ 15,600. He explained that although this amount is stipulated on a monthly basis, the discounts on EsSalud insurance mean that he only receives S / 10,000. This would not be the first time that the legislator has complained about her remuneration, she previously said that the income was not enough for his expenses.
“They tell us that we congressmen earn fifteen thousand soles, but how much we receive, only ten thousand soles. How much do they discount us and where does that money go, well, to the EsSalud insurance (….). The private ones do their round business, they want to charge me the 15% that comes out for two thousand soles, it is the big business that hurts”, Congresswoman Agüero Gutiérrez said during the plenary session in which the censorship against the Minister of Health, Hernán Condori, was debated.

(…) my money is going to cost me more than the salary I receive (as a congressman).
