As stipulated by the CNE, candidates can only make political advertising and mass concentrations of their electors for electoral purposes as of January 29, 2022. However, as Petro himself has announced on his social networks, for some weeks has advanced massive concentrations in different regions of the country.
On account of these concentrations, according to RCN News revealed, the CNE has received 12 complaints against Gustavo Petro for political advertising outside the legal timeframe.
The complaints refer to the political events of Petro, such as the rally in the public square of Barranquilla, the convocation in Pereira, or his speech before 5,000 people in the Lourdes park in Bogotá.
Judge Jaime Lacouture will be in charge of evaluating the evidence and determining whether the senator of Colombia Humana incurred in breaches of the electoral rules.
