Nothing official is known about the causes of retention in Dominican Republic 18 days ago today at the request of the United States government of the luxurious Russian yacht flying fox. The ship arrived in the country on March 13, through the tourist port of The Roman.
The expensive yacht owned by the Russian businessman Dmitry Kamenshchik and was transferred from The Roman to him Puerto Don Diego on San Souciwhere he remains under surveillance by units of the Dominican Navy and of Specialized Port Security Corps (CESEP).

So far the U.S. Embassy in the country, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Office of the Attorney General of the Republic and the General Directorate of Customshave issued some kind of official statement on the reasons why the tourist boat is retained in the country.
These three organizations, as well as officials from the country’s security agencies, are the ones giving support to the members of the United States Homeland Security Office (HSI)who are supposedly in charge of the yacht case flying fox.
Today morning it was learned that american agents accompanied by national authorities, frequently visit at night the said boatmaintaining contacts and conversations with their crew, about 37 in total of Russian nationality.
“We have nothing to report, this case is under the jurisdiction of the U.S. Embassy in the country with the support of national organizations, but we hope that an official document on the yacht will be issued at any time flying fox”, military sources said.
the yacht flying fox came to The Roman on the 13th of this month and two days later the request was made to the Dominican government by US authoritiesfor the retention of the luxurious ship in the country, which today has been 18 days, without the reasons being disclosed.
