Motorcyclists from the city of Luque can apply from this Wednesday, March 30, to receive 100 regulatory and certified helmets next Wednesday, April 6, as long as they meet some requirements. This action is part of the “Use your head” campaign that promotes the correct use of helmets. Motorcyclists from the cities of San Lorenzo, Lambaré, Caaguazú and Encarnación have already received 400 helmets.
Lambaré, Ñemby, Villa Elisa, Luque, Itauguá, Capiatá, Asunción, Ciudad del Este, Caaguazú, Encarnación, Concepción and San Lorenzo are the 12 cities that, according to the National Traffic and Road Safety Agency (ANTSV), have the highest incidence of motorcycle accidents in the country. These are the towns benefited by the “Use your head” campaign, which promotes the correct use of the helmet and whose incentive is the delivery of 1,776 regulatory units.
This initiative promoted by the International Automobile Federation (FIA), the Paraguayan Touring and Automobile Club (TACPY), the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and the National Traffic and Road Safety Agency (ANTSV) is part of the project “Cascos safe and affordable”, which will last for three months.
The call continues, and this time for those interested in Luque, who can already sign up from this Wednesday March 30 to receive their helmets next Wednesday April 6 at 9:00 in the Municipality of Luque.
Those interested only need to complete their data in the form of the ANTSV page and meet the following requirements:
– Be among the first 100 registered.
– Reside in the municipality of Luque (exclusive).
– Have a driver’s license and rating up to date that correspond to the municipality of Luque (exclusive).
In case of being selected, on the day of the delivery of the helmet, you will have to present a simple photocopy of your identity card, a simple photocopy of your driver’s license from the municipality of Luque and a simple photocopy of your motorcycle authorization corresponding to the same locality ( all documents must be up to date).
-On the day of delivery there will be a talk on road safety, mandatory for those who will receive the helmets.
The next deliveries will be: Friday April 22 in Capiatá and Thursday April 28 in Concepción. You will be communicating about the registration dates for these two cities
“I chose to live” is the main message of this awareness crusade that promotes the proper use of helmets: fastened and on the head, respecting the national provisions in this regard. This safety measure could prevent severe injuries and deaths from head trauma.
“Use your head” also encourages the use of a reflective vest.
