The President of the Republic ordered the SRI and the Financial Analysis Unit (UAFE) to investigate Joaquín Villamar’s finances.
Marisol Andrade, director of the Internal rents service (SRI), has “formal” and “express” instructions from the president William Lasso to investigate “exhaustively” the taxation of Joaquin Cupertino Villamar Hair, ex husband from Cynthia Viteri, mayor of Guayaquil.
The presidential decision that was made public today, March 28, 2022, comes after a research journalistic newspaper Expreso (published on March 27) under the title “Ex-husband of Cynthia Viteria new landowner on the road to the coast”.

According to the print media, Villamar would have acquired 90 thousand square meters of plots at the entrance to the new airport of Guayaquil in May 2020, in addition to another 159 hectares in the rural area of chongon.
The President also instructed Carla Mera, general director of the Financial and Economic Analysis Unit (UAFE) to carry out the corresponding investigations (SC)
