They register an attack on a forestry transport van in the Tirúa commune after the end of the State of Exception in the south

During this morning an arson attack was recorded in the Tirúa commune, Biobío region, where hooded men ambushed a driver who was driving a forestry transport van from the Sernofac company, which provides services to Forestal Mininco, with weapons to later burn. the vehicle.

According to preliminary information, the event occurred around 06:00 hours, when the driver was heading towards the site through the Pilico sector, at kilometer 17 of Route P-72, on the border with the Araucanía region.

Carabineros de Tirúa received the complaint, which generated the transfer of the police unit to the scene of the events to initiate the respective procedure and inform the local prosecutor’s office.

This fact occurs when the Government of the President, Gabriel Boricdecided not to extend the State of Constitutional Exception in four provinces between the regions of Biobío and La Araucanía, ending on March 26.

It should be remembered that the measure was initiated by the previous administration as of October 13 in the provinces of Arauco, Biobío, Malleco and Cautín.

Despite not continuing with this measure, the Government reported that more police personnel, vehicles, equipment, development and dialogue will be delivered in the sectors involved in order to seek a peaceful solution to the conflict.
