The Encontro das Águas Communication System, an affiliate of Brazil Communication Company (EBC)inaugurated today (25) channel 20.1, which will broadcast TV Brasil programming and its own productions in the city of Parintins (AM).
The station also broadcasts educational content on auxiliary tracks 20.2, 20.3 and 20.4. In addition to the audiovisual broadcast, Encontro das Águas debuts today on the radio, on FM 95.9MHZ.
“This project started long ago, to internalize public communication based on this great partnership. Being in Parintins is feeling the grandeur of this project for the region. It is undoubtedly very important to live this moment”, said the Director of Content and Programming at TV BrazilDenilson Morales da Silva
“Amazonas is important not only for the country, but for the world. There is nothing fairer than having this communication focused on the riverside, for smaller communities. The great starting point is Parintins,” she added.
The president of the Encontro das Águas System, Oswaldo Lopes, said that, with the covid-19 pandemic, the role of radio and TV was used to educate more than half a million Amazonian students in a safe way. “We also won Rádio Encontro das Águas and this partnership is allowing us to expand the station’s signal to the interior of the state and the projection of our state to Brazil”, said Lopes.
Present at the opening ceremony were the governor of Amazonas, Wilson Lima, the president of the Encontro das Águas System, Oswaldo Lopes, and the executive secretary of the Ministry of Communications, Estella Dantas, sent as a representative of the Minister of Communications, Fábio Faria.
